Criteria
|
| - | Your site must be suitable for all ages. I will not tolerate nudity, racism, hate, profanity, violence of any kind, or illegal material, in other words, no sites you wouldn't allow your children to see. |
| - | Your site must have its own content and graphics, if you do use someone else's material such as gifs, you must give credit. |
| - | Your site must have at least 5 pages, and it must not be just a long list of links. |
| - | Your site has to be in English or Spanish, or have a version in either of these languages as I don't speak any other. |
| - | If your site has frames, you must offer a frames-free version. |
| - | If your site has music, there must be a way for the visitor to turn it off. |
| - | New technology is great as long as I don't need a new, rarely used, plug-in. If you do use any new technology, there must be a way for older browsers to see your site. If I see a notice saying "your browser doesn't support..., get a new one", I will not rate your site. |
| - | Your site must be easy to navigate and well organized. |
| - | Your site must have good color and font coordination. I should be able to read the text without effort, and please nO wRiTiNg LiKe ThIs. |
| - | If your site crashes my browser, I will not return. |
| - | Your site must load reasonably fast. |
| - | Your site must not have unneeded objects such as pop up windows (except those enforced by free hosts), which do not add to its content. |
| - | No "under construction" signs will be tolerated. A website is never finished, is it? |
| - | I will not accept submissions from people under the age of 14 due to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. |
And finally,
remember that by submitting your site you are asking me to rate it based on my
opinion of it. Even if I am objective when reviewing the technical aspects of
your site, please keep in mind that I might not like what you like, just as you
might hate what I love.
If you are not awarded one of Tandilnet's Awards, you may resubmit your site after
3 months (and some changes).
Al revisar su sitio estaré evaluando Contenido, Diseño, Facilidad de navegación e Impresión General.
| - | Su sitio debe ser apto para todas las edades. No aceptaré sitios con desnudos, racismo, lenguaje indecente, violencia de cualquier tipo, o material ilegal. En otras palabras, ningún sitio que Ud. no dejaría ver a sus hijos. |
| - | Su sitio debe tener su propio contenido y gráficos. Si Ud. usa material de otras personas, por ejemplo gifs, debe citar la fuente. |
| - | Su sitio debe tener al menos 5 páginas, y no debe ser sólo una larga lista de vínculos. |
| - | Su sitio debe estar en Inglés o Español, o tener una versión en alguno de esos idiomas ya que son los únicos que entiendo. |
| - | Si su sitio tiene marcos, deberá ofrecer una versión sin ellos. |
| - | Si su sitio tiene música, el visitante deberá tener la posibilidad de apagarla. |
| - | Las tecnologías nuevas son fantásticas a menos que necesite bajar un plug-in que nunca más usaré. Si su sitio tiene alguna de estas nuevas tecnologías, debe existir una manera en que los navegadores más viejos la puedan ver. Si llego a ver un cartel que diga "su navegador no soporta ..., consiga un navegador más moderno", no calificaré su sitio. |
| - | Su sitio debe ser fácil de navegar y bien organizado. |
| - | Su sitio debe tener buena coordinación de colores y tipografía. Tengo que poder leer el texto sin esfuerzo, y por favor nO eScRiBa AsÍ. |
| - | Si su sitio hace que se caiga mi navegador, no volveré. |
| - | Sus páginas se deben cargar razonablemente rápido. |

Su sitio no debe tener objetos innecesarios tales como ventanas que se abren automáticamente (excepto las obligatorias de los servidores gratuitos), los cuales no agreguen contenido.s |
| - | No toleraré carteles "en construcción". Después de todo, un sitio no se termina jamás. ¿O sí? |
| - | No aceptaré solicitudes de personas menores de 14 años debido al Acto de Protección de la Privacidad Online de los Niños. |
Finalmente,
recuerde que al solicitar my premio, Ud. me está pidiendo que califique
su sitio basado en mi opinión personal de él. Si bien trato de ser
objetiva en mi revisión de los aspectos técnicos, tenga en cuenta
que puede ser que no me guste lo que le gusta a Ud, así como Ud. puede
odiar lo que yo amo.
Si Ud. no recibe uno de los Premios Tandilnet, puede volver a solicitarlos luego
de pasados 3 meses (y algunos cambios en su sitio).
